I discovered my love for blogging just before my Turkish assignment last year. It's true I've always loved to write lists, scribble my thoughts downs, make those elaborate To-Do's.... Writing helps me arrange the thoughts in my mind and get things into perspective; writing helps me stay calm and focus on what the actual situation is. I'm sure other people go through this as well, when you're faced with emotional ups and downs, one thought leads to another and it can easily spiral out of control. Writing helps me focus on that one thought and deal with it, writing helps me put control points on my crazy traumatic thoughts so I can spend time on them and move on. So what happens when I travel and then write a blog... its brings back happy memories of my time in wanderland, helps me focus on where I want to do wander off next and fills me with lots of hope.
